About Me

Qurban

My name is Qurban, and in 2008, my life was dramatically altered when I suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke. The stroke left me paralyzed on my left side, confining me to a wheelchair for an entire year. That period was one of the most challenging and distressing times of my life. I vividly remember the helplessness I felt, being moved in and out of bed like an injured animal, struggling to accept this new reality. Two years after the stroke, I began to experience a persistent pain on the affected side of my body. At first, it was a discomfort I thought would fade with time, but instead, it grew progressively worse. Over the years, the pain has intensified to the point where it has become almost unbearable, despite numerous painkillers and treatments I've tried. This ongoing battle with pain has added another layer of difficulty to my life, one that I continue to navigate every day. The purpose of this website is to share my stroke survival journey, not just the struggles, but also the small victories along the way. I want to raise awareness about the long-term effects of strokes and the chronic pain that can follow. By sharing my experiences, I hope to connect with others who are going through similar challenges, to learn from their stories, and to offer support. Together, we can create a community of understanding, resilience, and hope, where we can help each other find ways to cope and thrive despite the difficulties we face.
